Steward Training
Dear Members,
We are pleased to be offering Steward Training Courses throughout this year. The courses will be offered as follows:
- Montreal QC
April 5th and 6th from 8 am – 4 pm
Open to all FRENCH SPEAKING stewards only.
Registration deadline: March 1st
- John’s NL
May 26th and 27th from 8 am – 4 pm
Open to all Stewards from Regions 1,2,3,4 only.
Registration deadline: March 21st
- Calgary AB
October 13th and 14th from 8 am – 4 pm
Open to all Stewards from Regions 5 &6 only.
Registration deadline: September 1st
If you wish to attend any one of the seminars, please register by completing the registration form HERE and submit to the Business Office no later than March 1st for the Montreal seminar, March 21st for the St.John’s seminar, and September 1st for the Calgary seminar.
Please note that due to limited availability and spacing the registrations will be prioritized to ensure new Stewards are afforded the opportunity to attend. Priority will then go on a first come- first served basis for refresher training for more experienced Stewards.
Only after you have received confirmation of your attendance for the shop steward training from the Business Office are you to book travel and accommodations. For planning purposes, you will need to arrive the day prior to the start of training, and you may depart on the evening the course finishes or the next day. Your travel and accommodations expenses will be covered by the Local Union.
