Federal Government Bargaining Update #11
We continue to experience delays scheduling our arbitration hearing. I had hoped to be able to confirm that a hearing would take place in early May. However, delays from the Treasury Board forced the panel Chair to push our hearing into June.
Although it gives the union more time to prepare (and we will be well prepared) it means that our Federal Government members will continue to live in uncertainty about their future terms and conditions of work. This is patently unfair to them and hardly the hallmark of an ?Employer of Choice? the Treasury Board Secretariat purports to be.
We will continue to keep you posted of any developments including the impact of the Federal Budget in the coming days.
In Solidarity,
