Business Representative Kautz Accepts Management Position
It is with mixed feelings that I announce Glen Kautz?s departure from Local 2228. Effective June 18, he will join NAV CANADA\'s management team as CNS Manager for Winnipeg ACC.
All the Local\'s Officers and I are very sorry to see Glen go. He was a valuable member of the Business Office staff and contributed greatly in his role as Business Representative for Western Canada. In this role he contributed greatly to the Local\'s success in Western Canada and readily took on difficult assignments with positive outcomes.
I would be remiss if I didn\'t also mention his role on the Local\'s Executive Board. Never shy to express his views, he was a leader in improving the Local\'s governance as one of the first members of the Local\'s Audit Committee.
It?s for these reasons I know Glen will be an effective manager for NAV CANADA. He values honesty, fairness and integrity. These are important qualities in any capacity.
