Federal Government Agreement Signed
I am pleased to announce that the collective agreement has finally been signed. A version is available for download here.
The signing of the agreement also triggers the process to liquidate severance benefits accumulated up to July 25, 2012. In accordance with the terms of the collective agreement, departments must contact employees within three months of the date of signing to explain the options. For their part, employees must respond to the request within six months of the date of signing of the agreement to indicate what they wish done with their severance. If employees do not respond then the severance will be retained in reserve until the employees terminates his/her employment.
The agreement will be sent to the printers and copies will be made available to the employees in due course. If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Business Office.
