Proposals now being accepted for NAV CANADA Bargaining
Even though the NAV CANADA agreement doesn\'t expire for another year, it\'s not too soon to start preparing.
Our goal is to exchange proposals with the employer shortly after serving notice to bargain on September 1, 2013. To meet this target, the Regional Steering Committee meetings will take place between March 1, 2013 and April 30, 2013. This will be followed by a National Steering Committee meeting to be held sometime between May 1, 2013 and June 30, 2013.
Given this schedule, we ask members to use the online tool found here and submit bargaining proposals by February 28, 2013. If you meet this deadline you are guaranteed to have your proposal reviewed by the steering committee in your region. Proposals will be accepted beyond this date but may not get the attention they deserve in this round of bargaining.
Members who wish to participate on the Regional Steering Committee, National Steering Committee or Negotiating Team are urged to contact their Regional Representative.
