Outstanding Stewardship Winner ? Peter Kohl
I?m pleased to announce that Peter Kohl, (Chief Steward, Industry Canada, Ontario) is the most recent winner of the Outstanding Stewardship Award.
Peter is very well known among his federal government colleagues for the energy he commits to his role. Peter is in constant contact with his colleagues communicating important news and events.
Peter was also instrumental in helping his Industry Canada colleagues create their own unit in downtown Toronto. The ability of members to meet regularly and discuss Local Union business is crucial to the survival of the Local. Peter is also frequently assisting other stewards and members with grievances and other workplace challenges.
Peter understands that good stewardship goes beyond the ability to manage and process grievances. It?s about keeping members informed and involved.
