President Appoints Negotiating Team
This past week, representatives from Unit and Regional Steering Committees met in Ottawa, as members of the National Steering Committee.
They reviewed hundreds of contract proposals, which had been previously submitted from our members using our new on-line bargaining tool. Lively discussions ensued, as we firmed up our priorities in preparation for bargaining with our employer, Nav Canada.
From this group, I have appointed the following members to our negotiating team - Derrick Shaffer, Moncton; Donald Dionne, Montreal; Scott Burke, Cornwall; Mark Zelding, Toronto; Dave Cupples, Winnipeg; and Mike Matic, Vancouver.
Please join me in wishing our negotiating team every success, as they move forward to an important set of negotiations with Nav Canada.
