IBEW Local 2228 launches Member?s Forum
The Executive Board is pleased to announce the launch of an IBEW 2228 member?s forum.
Our geographic diversity makes communication among members especially difficult. Yet members need and benefit from connecting with each other so the Local is launching a moderated electronic forum.
Any member in good standing can join this forum. This forum will be a place for informal conversation outside regular unit meeting. You should be able to exchange information with your fellow members regardless of your employer or the city in which you work.
After a broad search of available forum hosts, the Local chose to host its forum with forumflash.com . The benefits of this particular host are a clean look and feel, excellent moderation capabilities, and good presentation on mobile devices.
Forums sections will include a space to discuss government bargaining, an ?Ask a Steward? section, a place for younger members and more.
Members will be allowed to use nicknames or aliases but will be required to provide full name and BA number. Only administrators and moderators will have access to this information.
