On behalf of the Executive Board it was my pleasure to present the 2020 President’s Award to Martin Myre for his many contributions. Martin Myre has been a steward for more than 17 years and in that time he has been unwavering in his support to his colleagues. All of the members who have the privilege of working with Martin would agree that he brings out the positive aspects of our Union in the people around him. I can speak from personal experience when I say that Martin showed incredible compassion and dedication towards the wellbeing of the many members that were surplussed last year. It was for this work in particular that Martin was nominated and it is fitting that he receive this award for both his recent and past contributions.
