President\'s Holiday Message
During the holiday season, it is important that we take time to relax from our busy schedules and enjoy the company of our family and friends.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteer Unit, Regional, and National officers for their service to our members this past year. I would also like to express appreciation to our Business Manager and his staff for their work in operating the Local this past year. Our volunteers, officers and staff are the engine which makes our Local run well.
In particular, I would like to acknowledge the volunteers on both our Nav Canada and Treasury Board negotiating teams. Their mandate has been to achieve an improved collective agreement with the employer. In performing this difficult task, they have worked long hours together, much of it away from their homes and families. The proposed new Nav Canada collective agreement is currently awaiting ratification. Unfortunately, our government members may not soon see a new collective agreement. However, both negotiating teams have served our Local\'s interests well, and they are to be commended for their fine work.
Have a safe and relaxing holiday, and I look forward to working with you all in the new year.
Fraternally,
Daniel Dawson
President
