IBEW Local 2228 opens work force adjustment office
IBEW Local 2228 opened a workforce adjustment office to support members while government departments restructure their workforce. The goal is to help members directly impacted by work force adjustment situations. The Local will provide assistance by:
- Explaining the interpretation and application of the Work Force Adjustment Directive;
- Endorsing grievances on work force adjustment situations when appropriate;
- Working with departments to ensure you have the information you need to plan your future; and
- Providing whatever other support is appropriate under the circumstances.
If you are an ?affected? or ?potentially affected? employee you can help us help you by contacting the Business Office and advising us of your circumstances. The information we get from departments isn?t always accurate or timely so we prefer to get it firsthand from the member.
