Local Union Elections 2013
As previously reported, 2013 is an election year in Local 2228. Although most Officers have been acclaimed, there are still races for three positions: Vice-President and Executive Board Members for Regions 1 and 3.
A voter?s list is currently being prepared. All members in good standing with the Local Union will receive a ballot. Members in good standing will the Local Union are individuals who:
- Have completed and signed an IBEW Membership Application form and paid the admission fee in accordance with Article IX ? Section 3 of the By-laws;
- Are registered as ?Active? members and currently paying full working dues; and
- Are not more than 3-months in arrears.
An announcement will appear on the website when the ballots have been mailed. If you do not receive a ballot but believe you are eligible to vote, your case will be investigated and you may be issued a segregated ballot. No vote count will take place until the status of all segregated ballots has been resolved.
