Political activities self-assessment tool
Earlier this year, the Public Service Commission launched a revised Political Activities Self-Assessment Tool. The tool is supposed to allow public service employee to gauge whether or not their political involvement would affect their impartiality.
This revised tool was launched as a one-year pilot allows users to:
- Select from a more comprehensive list of political activities including the use of social media;
- Obtain a printable final report with more detailed results; and
- Provide anonymous feedback on the tool itself if they so desire.
I encourage all members to test the tool and judge whether the results are valid. You work in a highly politicized environment and you?ll want to make sure that the results of the tool fairly represent the risks to your impartiality.
In Solidarity,
